The V1 site at La Loge in the Forest of Hesdin was bombed three times during WW2, The last raid was on September 4th 1944 by the American Air Force. There still can be seen many small craters and destroyed buildings around the site. Not far from the site are several extremely large bomb craters which were presumably made by previous raids using high explosive 'earthquake' bombs.
